We are conducting a search for a Controls Engineer for a growing manufacturer of baking equipment and systems. We are looking for someone with experience in the design, startup and troubleshooting of control systems including experience with: PLC Ladder Logic and HMI programming using Panel Builder and RS View and drives, RSLogix500 and 5000, drawing electrical schematics using AutoCAD. This will involve 80% travel to baking facilities in Mexico so working remotely is fine as long as you are near an international airport. You also must be bi-lingual English & Spanish.
Provides installation, start-up, and technical support for new equipment services existing cake pan greasers, bread pan oilers, and target spray systems.
Responsible for programming and implementing automation and control systems including electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, HMI’s and Drives. Programs the PLC’s of machines prior to shipment.
Support machinery install base with audits, troubleshooting, repair, modifications and programming.
Give technical presentations and provide training on the proper operation of equipment at customer seminars and on-floor visits.
Ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Works with team members to ensure successful start-ups of new products, product improvements, cost reductions, and ingredient formula specification or process changes.
Advise on equipment modifications to enable process changes for new product development.
Collaborates with the manager of the Machinery Division on new designs and machine customizations for solutions to customer application issues.
Knowledge Skills & Talents:
Minimum 2-years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role or panel building environment.
Experience programming PLC’s using RSLogix500 and RSLogix5000.
Knowledge of HMI programming using Panel Builder & RS View.
Knowledge of variable frequency drives & analog process controls.
Must be able to design & draw electrical schematics using AutoCAD (AutoCad 2000 or newer version).
Must be Bi-Lingual in English & Spanish.
