Description: 
The Electrical Engineer position’s main focus is the research, design, development, and testing for the manufacturing of electrical equipment for commercial, industrial, and military/governmental use. The electrical engineer will be responsible for the design of electrical circuits for Our Client Company LED driver product line. This position requires drive and ambition with a strong work ethic and a dedication to working with passion and integrity.

Normal Work Hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday (some nights and weekends may be required)

Responsibilities: 
  • Design the input EMI filter, the current regulated DC/DC converter driver, PWM dimming controls, microcontroller, and circuit protection (under voltage, over current, temperature).
  • Create schematics and BOMs for the designs.
  • Design the PCB.
  • Ensure each circuit uses reliable design practices, demonstrated by the completion of a stress/derating analysis.
  • Operate computer-assisted engineering or design software or equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Confer with engineers, customers, or others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects or products.
Skill Set: 
  • Operating system software: Microsoft Windows
  • Email software: Microsoft Outlook
  • Computer aided design (CAD) software: Altium
  • Engineering & Technology – Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Computers and Electronics – Knowledge of circuit boards, chips, electronic test equipment, and microcontroller software.
  • Design – Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of electronic design.
  • Mathematics – Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics, and their applications.
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Physics – Knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications.
  • Production & Processing – Knowledge of electrical components, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods

Qualifications: 
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • BSEE in Electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as an electrical engineer.
  • Understanding of PCB layout needs for power electronics.
  • Working knowledge of embedded microcontrollers and microcontroller C programming
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills required
  • (preferred) Experience with product development
  • (preferred) Engineering or other technical experience in a manufacturing environment
