Job description
  • Organize, assign, audit, and monitor all activities of the Engineering Services group.
  • Develop objectives to assure all plant equipment is monitored and maintained as necessary to assure maximum efficiency and dependability.
  • Develop recommendations for improvement and/or replacement of equipment through proper company channels.
  • Establish objectives and review with subordinates, providing target dates and follow up.
  • Secure budget approval for equipment and facilities necessary to assure plant's uninterrupted continuity and prosperity and monitoring the installation of new equipment.
  • Work with Engineering services departmental personnel in optimizing existing equipment to improve production and quality of the product to meet the changing production and technical service needs.
  • Develop, establish, and implement departmental and plant objectives, while also working with other departments and managers to optimizing safety, quality, production, equipment, facilities, energy, manpower and budgets.
  • Direct participation in refinements, cost reductions and cost avoidance programs.
  • Evaluate needs and establish employee training and development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in multiple levels of Engineering including 2 years as a Plant Engineer.
Non-negotiable requirements on this position
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in multiple levels of Manufacturing Engineering including management experience
  • Experience with Lean projects and initiatives
  • Budget proposal and approval experience
  • Maintenance and reliability experience
