A leader in the design, manufacture and installation of auxiliary products for the plastics processing industry. Through decades of innovation, expertise and product excellence, we have produced an extensive product line for material handling, drying, conveying, feeding, blending, size reduction and heat exchangers. We have an opening for a Field Service Technician to work from a home office and travel to customer sites for the repair, start up and trouble shooting of auxiliary equipment used in plastic processing.
Promotes quality customer relations by using technical knowledge of Company systems, to service its equipment at customer’s plants. This includes troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems, utilizing technical skill to provide precise solutions to problems with Company equipment, maintaining proper documentation and engaging in effective communication between Company and its customer(s).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Travels worldwide to customer sites/plants to service Company equipment; Accomplishing this task dictates ability to travel constantly. When traveling, always arrives on time to customer’s plant(s) and stays long enough to complete job(s) properly.
Communicates mission description with customer to determine needs, timing, contacts, and schedule demands; To accomplish this task successfully this employee must work in agreement with the Technical
Support Manager reserves the right to change to reset priorities. Troubleshoots and correctly diagnoses problems to address complaints about Company –supplied equipment and systems; Observes the performance of equipment and systems to fine-tune and bring about successful and optimal operation
Performs maintenance on Company equipment as required per project scope; Installs parts and performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping maintenance or installations
Conducts training about the correct and effective use of Company systems at customer’s site(s); Promotes service contracts to customers;
The employee must also adhere to all safety standards and procedures at each customers plant
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Technical/mechanical diplomas/certificates and three to five years experience installing parts and performing minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping installations.
Without the certificates and three to five years experience, at least ten years installing parts and performing minor mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and process piping installations.
