Industrial Electrician

Our Client, a premier field service, industrial maintenance, crane inspection and repair, electrical repair, and general maintenance company, is seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to join their growing team.

  • A minimum of 3 years hands on experience as an electrician working in industrial setting
  • Knowledge of electrical control wiring, wiring schematics and layout diagrams
  • Knowledge of AC and DC Power and Hydraulic Controls
  • Ability to read control schematics and blue prints
  • Thorough understanding of applicable Electrical Codes and Industry standards and computing skills
  • Experience with various hand tools, soldering techniques and basic electronic equipment
  • Able to install RIGID Conduit, tray and wiring
  • Electronics Troubleshooting, Problem Solving, PLC Programming, Equipment Maintenance, Power Tools, Basic Safety, Technical Understanding, Judgment
  • Must show great troubleshooting skills
  • Attention to Detail and Job Knowledge
  • Good physical endurance and manual dexterity; Physical ability to sit, stand, turn, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, reach above the shoulder, lift and carry up to 80 pounds, push, grasp, pull, climb stairs, climb ladders, climb scaffolds
  • Have sufficient vision, including the ability to identify colors, & hearing to satisfactorily perform job functions
  • 5+ years experience in Industrial Electrical field
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to customers’ locations; at time out of town during the week
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Install and maintain equipment in compliance with NEC, NFPA, IBC and state and local building codes
  • Install new machinery from running conduit to final connections
  • Repair breakdowns and perform preventive maintenance for various electrical controls on programmable logic controllers, welding machines, manipulators, travelling cranes, etc.
  • Perform control panel assembly, wiring and connections
  • Perform troubleshooting on electrical wiring and components to ensure proper machine operation and develop new technology applications to resolve equipment problems
  • Ensure the quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the supervisor
  • Work on different projects such as mounting panels and modifying lines
  • Complete testing and quality inspections using multi-meters and other equipment
  • Maintain production and quality of Customers Facilities by ensuring operation of electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment
  • Compliance with electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications; troubleshooting
  • Able to generate conduit layouts, sizing and wire schedules
  • Programs automated machinery by operating, testing for malfunctions, and verify repairs to robots, robot controllers, and programmable controllers
  • Perform various tasks or projects as required by management
Schedule / Benefit Overview:
  • Hourly position based on experience
  • Monday – Friday, may require some weekends
