Maintenance Manager - leading manufacturer - glass

Reporting to the General Manager of this 350,000-square foot flagship facility. This position has five (5) direct reports. Will direct all the activities of the maintenance department and ensure adequate training of all Maintenance associates. the Maintenance Manager is critical to support the company’s goal to remain at the forefront of productivity and to create a world class manufacturing environment with respect to the utilization of capital equipment. Responsibilities include planning, directing the administration of policies, programs and procedures for this location’s maintenance functions including production equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, repair parts/stockroom maintenance, capital projects, and compliance with OSHA safety regulations. Ensuring optimum equipment performance with an emphasis on reducing downtime through the development and use of Preventative and Predictive maintenance programs.

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
Solid understanding of formal Preventative and Predictive maintenance programs.
* Solid understanding of glass processing equipment: Tempering, coating, heat-treating, silk-screening, vacuum insulated, cutting systems and have experience with chop saws, punch presses, water pumps, chillers, hydraulics, motors, PLC's, wastewater handling, and other common industrial equipment.
Minimum of 5+ years of related work experiences in plant/facilities engineering and maintenance management.
Demonstrated ability to accurately budget the maintenance department's activities.
Experience in Continual Cost Reduction through participation in Lean/Six-Sigma/Kaizen activities.
Applicant must be a US Citizen or permanent resident. No sponsorship provided.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups are required.
Capital Project Leadership skills.
Well organized, excellent attention to detail and documentation.
Experience working with PM tools or software
Solid analytical background
Solid leadership skills: coaching, mentoring & training
