Summary of the Mechanical Designer Job:
Our Client does nearly 1 Billion in sales in 21 countries with over 1200 employees.  This is a great opportunity to use your hands on design skills working on integrated system designs for machinery and equipment packaging and electrical layout.  This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on common sense designer who is looking for a wide variety of projects with technical challenge.    
You will become an integral part of a local 45 person engineering team located in SE Michigan for a very successful established company with a good growth track record.  This division is the top global performer on the sales per capita ratio.  They also really care about life work balance.  

Qualifications of the Mechanical Designer:
  • Technical Aptitude, Certificate or Associates Degree preferred
  • 3 plus years of solid design experience
  • Passionate about being around equipment with multiple integrated systems 
  • Excellence common sense mechanical design experience with a solid aptitude for a wide variety of projects.
  • GD&T, and a background with AutoCad, Catia or similar. ProE is a plus
  • Mechanical/systems packaging background is HIGHLY desired
  • Electrical packaging a BIG PLUS
  • Ability to design component packaging with integrated systems including: conveyors, motors, pumps, hydraulics, piping, automation equipment, production machinery, and electrical wiring.
  • A demonstrated background in mechanical aptitude is a  MUST HAVE

Compensation of the Mechanical Designer:
Salary - $55,000 to $85,000 / Year as per the experience

Location:  Madison Hights. MI
Relocation: Yes
Visa Sponsorship: NONE-US Citizens or Green Card Only
Travel: Limited, willingness to travel Overseas (Inner Company) and to Mexico (Customer)
