Position can be based in either Austin, Texas or Redwood City, CA.

The Company is a fast-growing startup in the explosive Artificial Intelligence space. The Company's products require very high quality, high performance with low power Non-Volatile Memory design. Working on NVM design, engineers will be involved in defining the new architecture and chip operation to work on AI system applications. 


    • Design a complete macro IP specifically applicable for the company product architecture utilizing the available NVM technologies from foundries 
    • Involve in NVM grid architecture for optimum performance and area 
    • Design the new circuits to handshake with the analog computation blocks 
    • Modify and optimize the high voltage generator block 
    • Supervise layout in all custom blocks and the interface with the digital controller 
    • Work closely with the test engineers to expedite the silicon evaluation process 
    • Work closely with the foundries on device, process and design to ensure the design quality with high production yield 


    • Hands-on experience in NVM design embedded or NVM product design 
    • Fluent at all memory circuit block design: decoder, high voltage switches, charge pumps, regulator, bandgap, speed and low power sense amp.  
    • Good understanding & knowledge of semiconductor device physics, and advanced process technology
    • Fluent at all major CAD tools: SPICE, Verilog simulation software 
    • Excellent communication skills 
    • Must be a self-starter and detail-oriented 
    • Strong computer skills, ability to work well across multi-functional teams 
    • Ph.D. or MS degree in EE or related 5-10+ years industrial experience in semiconductor device engineering 

Nice to have

    • Experience working at startups  
    • Experience in process integration of NVM technology 
    • Experience in Semiconductor Emerging Non-volatile Memory Technologies such as RRAM, MRAM and others 
    • Experience in cross-functional team development with a multi-technology foundry environment 
    • Experience in semiconductor reliability and product qualification
