The Company is seeking an experienced semiconductor quality and reliability engineering manager to drive qualification of state-of-the-art local Artificial Intelligence (AI) semiconductor devices. This individual will oversee all quality and continuous improvement efforts for a startup and will be responsible for driving product qualification, vendor qualifications, technical audits, foundry and test line certifications, excursion responses and customer audits.
 
The individual must be self-motivated and have a proven track record of establishing strategic plans, policies and procedures for quality improvement to ensure products meet and exceed the requirements for both internal and external needs. The individual will also be responsible for managing and working with external agencies to obtain and maintain required international quality certifications. The individual will work with Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure that new products meet reliability, cost and time to market objectives.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain Quality Policies for semiconductor startup to meet short and long term quality assurance needs.
    • Develop and maintain Quality Control Manual of standards and procedures usable by all functions and departments of the company.
    • Continuous improvement of standards for quality operating methods, processes, systems and procedures
    • Drive mixed-signal semiconductor product qualification through stringent reliability testing.
    • Responsible for implementation and compliance to ISO9001 and ISO/TS16949 (IATF 16949:2016) certification processes and other applicable standards.
    • Perform internal quality audits as required.
    • Assures conformity between site quality manual and actual practices.
    • Publish regular quality reports to top management and timely closure of action items to ensure closed-loop communications.
    • Validate and qualify changes made in production (manufacturing and testing)
    • Resolves production issues, completing 8D and 5-WHY procedures for all customers manufacturing process failures.

Job Requirements - Mandatory Skills

    • Certified ISO/Lead Auditor
    • At least five years of semiconductor industry experience managing process and quality improvement systems.
    • Proven track record of successfully accomplishing product reliability and establishing process improvement projects for new products.
    • Proven ability to establish quality plans and to motivate/inspire organization to develop and achieve the objectives.
    • Background in training of individuals in manufacturing or quality processes.
    • Excellent communication skills and pro-active approach to solving and eliminating problems.
    • Experience with FMEA, variability analysis, root cause analysis & Kaizen.
    • Experience with ISO certification start-up and/or maintaining it.
    • Experience with international and multi-cultural environments.

Job Requirements - Preferred Skills

    • Experience working in startups
    • ASQ and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
    • Measurement techniques, metrology, GR&R analysis
    • Understanding of packaging technologies, device and package reliability

Education

    • BS or similar in electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering or related engineering course
