Sr. Supervising Engineer - Power Systems
Location: Metro NYC
We are seeking an Electrical Engineering professional with a strong background in industrial and heavy infrastructure projects to play a leadership role for our Industrial Power division. The emphasis is on a blend of technical engineering (preliminary through final design) and project development. Responsibilities include project estimating and proposals, project construction support as well as overall project management on electrical and multi-discipline teams.
Must be very familiar with power distribution from 600V to 27kV. Projects include underground utility duct bank system design and coordination, distributed generation utility interconnection, emergency generation systems, and grounding system design.
Must have expertise with the following:
Bid preparations, financial tracking, power supply cost estimating, and document management.
Proficiency with state-of-the-art software packages such as SKM, ETAP, REVIT.
Strong project management and communications skills that will encompass project presentations, client relations, business development, and contract negotiations.
Effective staff communications abilities with all levels.
BS in Electrical Engineering
PE license and at least 15 years relevant experience is required.
Excellent communications and abilities to function in a complex matrix driven environment are critical as are the ability to be client facing and maintaining good client relations.
Familiarity with electrical industry standards and codes are essential including NEMA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, and state and local codes.
Must work out of downtown New York City office.
Candidates should be immediately able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
