This established European vendor of single-board computers for a variety of applications (aerospace, medical, telecom, etc) has opened a Boston-area engineering office. They're seeking two engineers (one senior, one more mid- / junior-level) to join a small team to develop embedded software and related applications. MUST BE A US CITIZEN.

Relevant skills are Embedded C, strong Linux knowledge and very familiar with Intel X86 processor family. From the engineering director: "We need low level x86 (BIOS, diagnostics and driver level), direct exposure to high speed interfaces such as PCI Express, Rapid I/O and 1/10G Ethernet and switch fabrics."

I’m Phil Hurd, the principal of Oculus Search Partners. Software professionals have trusted me as their recruiting partner for 30 years because:
  • Expertise. I earned a BSEE and MSEE, and was a computer engineer before becoming a search and placement professional. You’ll be represented by someone who understands what you do, and knows how to leverage that understanding to create opportunities for you.
  • Reputation. Over 60 LinkedIn recommendations attest to my integrity and effectiveness.
  • Network. I have personally placed, or been involved with placing, several thousand software engineers over my career, and have built a deep network with VPE’s, CEO’s, HR, etc. I can not only open doors for you, but can help you improve your resume, prepare you for interviews, and help you negotiate a strong offer package.
  • No BS. I don’t like when a salesperson pressures me, and I’m sure you don’t want that from a recruiter. You’re a professional, so am I, and my approach reflects that philosophy. And specifically, I will NEVER submit your resume to any company without prior discussion and buy-in from you.
  • Respect. I never forget that this is your job search, and your life, and our interactions will reflect that philosophy.
