Development projects will vary based on new product development, complexity and product lines.  This team creates innovative software that runs on top of our firmware. Technologies will range from Android to C++ to Python to Firmware.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop firmware and software for innovative and highly-optimized connected controllers and sensors.
  • Continuously improve our development process.
  • Write design documentation.
  • Evaluate and integrate software from 3rd party vendors.
  • Review designs and source code from other developers.

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, innovative and persistent; problem solver who does not accept failure.
  • BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a very strong software component and +10 years of relevant experience; MSc preferred.
  • Great team player with great interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in C programming on severely resource-constrained platforms.
  • Knowledge of microcontroller architectures.
  • Experience with object-oriented design principles.
  • Experience developing on a bare device and using an RTOS.
  • Experience designing device drivers for peripherals like external memories and sensors.
  • Experience with power-management.
  • Experience using debuggers, logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Experience with consumer IR and RF protocols, including ZigBee, RF4CE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Classic and Smart is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of digital and analog circuit design is a plus.
