This is an opportunity for a talented individual with experience in RF product applications in sensing devices in mobile or wearable applications. The role is responsible to drive and support the technical adoption of our client's sensing solution in customers’ system. Additionally, the function is to create new product definitions and determine the use of our core technology in new applications accomplished through direct contact with key customers and internal development teams. Responsibilities • Lead new product definition and verification. Collaborate with Marketing and Design Engineering throughout the development phase to ensure compliance to specifications and customer requirements • Generate datasheets/characterization/test report, publish application notes and other technical documents to promote Semtech Sensing products • Develop evaluation boards/demos including circuit schematic design, PCB layout and related software • Work closely with key customers and partners to optimize Semtech sensing solutions (HW/SW) for the target application and become the technical lead to support design-in activity through interfacing with customers, FAEs, sales and factory personnel • Visit customer’s site to provide technical support and secure the design • Hold technical trainings to sales/reps/distis/partners worldwide • Moderate travel required Qualifications/Requirements • BSc., BSEE or equivalent degree required. MSEE preferred • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated, related Rf Systems Applications Engineering experience supporting semiconductor product design • Solid analog and mixed signal circuitry knowledge with hands-on experience in system, PCB and touch/prox sensor design. • Proficient in C/C++/C# and experience in embedded processor programming are highly preferred • Self-driven, strong troubleshooting skills as well as adhering to project deadlines and business objectives • Able to work in and foster a teamwork environment with a demonstrated ability to share the technical knowledge with others • Must be an effective communicator with the ability to interface at all levels within the organization, possessing a thorough command of the English language, written as well as verbal • Bilingual abilities are a plus (Chinese or Korean

MUST Have minimum of 10 yrs industry in RF systems sensing technologies and IC's and familiar with the wireless standards for mobile applications.
