PLS software NEC code EIT P.E. S.E. Power Systems Design Engineer geotechnical

This position requires knowledge of basic engineering principles. A working knowledge of power systems. Mechanical aptitude and surveying experience. Requires working knowledge of the technical environment and all governing codes and regulations, to include the National Electrical Code. Must have the ability to plan, design and supervise your project to completion. This position is responsible for all aspects of transmission line design. Line routing, structural design and selection, conductor evaluation, budget estimates. Preparation of labor and material specifications, construction drawings and with bills of material and construction contract documents. This engineer will conduct failure investigations in addition to reviewing projects that impact existing or planned transmission facilities and develops and implements new technologies. The working conditions will vary from office and substations and power plant and transmission line field environment.
This position requires the ability to plan, design and supervise the project to completion. This Engineer must play well with others and share his or her toys. Teamwork is the key to this role so bring your people skills.

Design Transmission Lines NEC code Power Systems P.E. S.E Electrical Civil Mechanical E.I.T. Surveying -

Education and experience required;

Five or more years focused on the detailed design of high voltage transmission lines.
Must have a B.S. in Engineering. Civil, Electrical,
P.E. a plus
S.E a plus
E.I.T at the very least must have.
We prefer a registered Professional Engineer or the ability to be registered in a short period of time.
Should be familiar with and have used extensive transmission line software such as PLSCADD
Should have participated in the line routing of lines, obtaining survey information, obtaining geotechnical information.
Develop structure parameters, spotted structures, be familiar with structure specifications, construction specifications and been involved in the construction of transmission lines.
If a Civil Engineer should have design foundation for the transmission structures.
