Job Description: Electrical Controls Design Engineer
Established electrical motor controls manufacturer seeks experienced design engineer for full-time position in Jacksonville, Florida. Job requires background in basic motor control and relay logic. The ability to design per written specifications and some basic knowledge of UL/NEC standards are required. Experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Electrical is a plus. Good telephone communication skills enabling the engineer to provide technical support to customers throughout the U.S. are essential. An EE degree is preferred but three years or more of directly related motor controls design experience and a substantial work history may qualify a non-degreed candidate. Evidence of a strong commitment to high quality, accuracy and attention detail will strengthen an individual’s application.
EG Controls is an established electrical motor control and system integrator firm with over thirty-eight years of experience in designing and manufacturing industrial motor control systems. The company’s primary market is municipal wastewater and freshwater applications but also includes industrial controls. A small but progressive company with an expanding market, EG Controls’ product lines include low voltage control systems featuring relay logic, solid state logic, PLC, SCADA communications, solid state starters and variable frequency drives.
