DescriptionPROJECT ENGINEER (HAZLOC)
DALLAS, TEXAS OR HOUSTON, TEXAS
Overview:
Our client is a leading international provider of quality and safety services to a wide range of global and local industries, employing over 24,000 people worldwide.
Our client provides safety testing and certification services to a variety of industries including wireless technology, security, home appliances, industrial, medical, telecommunications, automotive, building products and electronics.
Responsibilities:
Perform testing and evaluation on a variety of oil and gas products, writing reports, and communicating with clients.
Specific industry knowledge such as NEC, IEC, or ATEX codes for equipment used in potentially explosive locations (Hazloc) and CE Marking directives, ideally pressure, machinery safety or electrical safety
Delivery assessments and training in a consultant capacity, principally CompEx
This is a domestic position requiring some international travel with a diverse range of industries
Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree in engineering field is preferred or equivalent in terms of education, experience and training
1-4 years directly related experience performing testing in the above mentioned categories
Prior project management experience is a plus
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
MUST be self motivated and assertive and have the ability to work independently
Working knowledge of personal computers & MS Office software
Strong organizational and time management skills
