My client is a well respected consulting engineering firm with a strong history in the Midwest. Due to an expansion, they are conducting a nation-wide search for an Engineering Designer for their Transmission Line Group. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years experience performing civil and structural engineering tasks associated with route selection, structure design, foundation design, material specifying, construction bid document preparation and design/construction liaison as it relates to the design of high-voltage electrical transmission lines. Duties would also include desing of tranmission lines using state-of-the-art computers and software, writing reports and visiting project sites. Most work would be done in Michigan office. A degree is a plus but not required as long as the candidate has strong experience with design in this niche.
